This is a med clustered palm which grows in humid undergrowth. It is very similar in appearance to Chamaedorea microspadix and Chamaedorea seifrizii.

It will tolerate a certain amount of sunshine, especially when adult, and can withstand the cold even more.

It adapts very well as a house plant. Its slim trunks are reminiscent of bamboo cane.

It prefers rich, drained soils. If in a dry atmosphere it can be vulnerable to red spider attack.
